***Minimum Requirement: At least 5 years of proven experience as a commercial Estimator on the contractor side.
Duties:
Hard Bids (HB):
-
Create Spec Section Matrix
-
Manage and execute Call List
-
Engage Subcontractors/Vendor Bidders
-
Perform Quantity Takeoff for all trades
-
Define project-specific scope for all trades and prepare tab sheets
-
Develop Excel Unit Pricing Assessments
-
Organize Bid Day Room
-
Estimate General Conditions
-
Calculate trade portions during Bid Day
Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) Projects:
-
Develop Project-specific Bid Tabs for distribution to bidders
-
Lead Pre-Bid Conferences when necessary
-
Assist in Bid Day preparation and presentation to the Owner
-
Verify scope with Bidders post-Bid Day
-
Assemble final Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) pricing booklet
-
Coordinate with Field Operations for GMP presentation to the Owner
-
Facilitate final handover to Field Operations for construction
Conceptual Estimating:
-
Plan, communicate, and establish preliminary budgets throughout design phases
-
Demonstrate understanding of construction means and methods to price scope accurately, with foresight, through effective communication with clients and design teams
